Spicy Chicken Burgers

Patty Ingredients:

1 lb package ground chicken

Sliced Havarti cheese

3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

Himalayan sea salt & pepper

1 clove garlic, minced

4 fresh jalapeño slices per burger, seeds optional

1 package of brioche buns

Slaw Ingredients:

1/4-1/2 head green or red cabbage, thinly sliced

3/4 cup cilantro, chopped

1/4 red onion, sliced

2 tablespoons high-quality olive oil

salt, pepper, cayenne, to taste

Spicy Mayo Ingredients:

1 cup Veganaise (or mayo of choice)

2 tablespoons siracha

1 teaspoon garlic paste (optional)

salt & pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Heat grill

  2. Combine ground chicken, spices & garlic in a bowl, using your hands

  3. Form into patties

  4. Make slaw and spicy mayo in separate bowls, set aside

  5. Grill patties, once cooked and prior to removing from grill top each patty with Havarti cheese, allow to melt (optional toast brioche buns on grill face down)

  6. Remove patties from grill, top with fresh jalapeño slices, slaw, and spicy mayo

  7. Serve with sweet potato fries (found under B(T)LT Sandwich)
