Cheese Grits

Ingredients

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup stoneground white grits

1/2 tsp sea salt

1/2 cup cheese of choice (recommend shredded cheddar)

1 tbs coconut milk (or milk of choice)

1 tbs ghee or butter

Garlic powder, paprika, s&p, and onion powder to taste

Optional: Hot sauce or chilis for garnish

Directions

  1. Bring water and salt to a boil, once boiling add in grits, whisk, and turn heat to low

  2. Stir in cheese, coconut milk, butter, and spices, and let simmer for 5 minutes 

  3. Remove from heat, garnish with hot sauce or chilis of choice, and serve
